Sistas Thrive Art Revolution: Works of Art by Black Women

Guest curator Ericka Abram has brought together a new Summit Artspace exhibition of art by nine black women who create with talent, vision and strong points of view.  The show, titled Sistas Thrive Art Revolution, runs from May 12-June 16.  The public is invited to a meet-the-artists opening reception Friday, May 11 from 5 to 7 pm.

Featured artists are Dayne Arnold, Debra Calhoun, Magalie Foster, Gladys Haines, Caressa Mathews, Christine Morrow, Shani Richards, Robin Sallie and Charlene Thompson.  The group includes formally trained and self-taught artists, who work in paint, textiles, mixed media, photography, metals and black eyed peas.
