Visual Storytelling Featured in Summit Artspace Show

From March 13 through April 17, Summit Artspace Gallery will present Narratives, an exhibition of paintings with elements of storytelling, featuring three local artists of varying ages and styles. Featured artists are Frank Bell White, John Sokol and Sean O’Donnell.

White, age 78, is a self-trained artist whose work depicts African American life in a literal style.  Sokol, a 1973 M.A. graduate of Kent State University, bases his more abstract works on myths and ancient religions.   A student at The University of Akron, O’Donnell combines the abstract with the figurative inviting the viewer to imagine a personal story.
